Resilience is the ability to keep, regain and build hope, emotional wellness, and positive ways of coping through times of difficulties in life. Do you ever wonder why are some people able to cope and carry on under high stress and many difficulties, even when terrible tragedies happens in their lives, while others become overwhelmed, helpless and hopeless, even in the situations that they may seem quite manageable to other people? That is all because of resilience. In this world, God creates humans with different challenges and ability. That is why every people also have different level of resilience depends on their motivation, social factors and environment. So, let’s take a look more about resilience.
Resilience is a person’s ability to carry on positively in spite of challenging times, tragedies or traumas is influenced by their personality characteristics, thinking patterns, role models, community support system, positive oppurtunities, expectations and learning. Other than that, family background and attitudes are also strong influence to create their personality as they grow up. Resilient individuals also have strengths, attitudes and skills that enable them to manage better in their lives cope better with adversity.
What is the simple solution that will change your life this instant? Yes, there is a simple solution. Yet, it’s so simple that can be describe in two measly words. ‘To be happy, be happy.” When you accept your situation and and learn to be happy in spite of it, everything in your life will got better as if by magic. Let’s invite all the positive vibes around us and become more resilience. How? Firstly, by practising good behaviour. We should try and perform good relationships, not harming others or oneself and contribute in positve ways to family, work, community and friends. We also must took care of our mental and physical health and other people around us. Finally, one very important protective quality is optimism. Optimism with hope and confidence. We must attract the positive vibes and belief that positive things will happen, the problems can be overcome and whatever that is wrong will eventually get better.
